1. Open SysTools BKF Repair software
     Go to Start > Programs > SysTools BKF Repair > SysTools BKF Repair

Initial screen will appear as shown below:

2. Click the “Load” button present on the toolbar.

This will take you to the browsing option as shown in the following  screenshot:

3. Select the corrupt BKF file that you need to repair.

4. After selecting, click the “Open" button.

As you click open, the loading process will start as shown below:

After the loading process completes, you can see the preview of selected files as shown below:

5. Click the “Extract” button present on the toolbar of the above page to extract the repaired files from corrupt BKF.

6. As you click extract, you will be asked to choose a location where you want to save the recovered files, as shown below:

7. Browse a location where you want to save the recovered BKF content and then click the “OK" button.

The recovered files and folders will start saving to your selected location.

Partial Scan Feature 
SysTools has added a new & advanced feature in the updated version 5.2, which is of "Partial Scan". In the recovery of large sized files, you can quickly do partial scan if you need only small amount of data from any large sized BKF file. If you want to extract only a small portion from any large sized BKF file, then use this feature of “Partial Scan”. 

For performing this function, click on “Actions” menu. Select "Partial Scan" option from the drop down menu as shown below: 

On clicking Partial Scan, you will see a window as shown below:  

What is this value? This value if the percentage of data that you want to extract from any large sized BKF file. (For example – if you choose 25% and insert the value above as “25”, then the software will recover only 25% of data from the selected BKF file.  

After Partial Scan completes, you can see the preview of selected files as shown above.

To Load Another BKF File
To load another BKF file, you don’t need to start all over again from the first step. You have to go to the screen shown below and choose the BKF file, whose recovery you have completed, from the left tree structure. Right click on it and choose Close Backup File option. This will close that BKF file and then you can click the “Load" button again to load another BKF file.

To Open the Recovered BKF Files
To open the recovered BKF file/files, navigate the location where you had saved those file/files during the BKF recovery process you have performed using SysTools BKF Repair tool. Double click to open those file/files using their respective application/applications.
